My employer doesn't allow us to carry a purse that is not clear. This is more the size of a small tote or large purse which works for me. I like that it has a small pocket on the inside to put my keys in so they're easy to grab. It is holding together pretty well. I've had it for over 6 months. I like the flur de lis, which makes it a little more appealing than just a clear bag.

I did. If you have attention-deficit challenges, the out-of-sight, out-of-mind thing can be a problem. No worries with this transparent vessel,though - even the wide little bottom is clear. If you drop your keys in the bag and then put other stuff on top you'll know. I got a mesh bag for a visual on the contents, but even that obscures things, and the bottom is opaque. I'd recommend getting this bag with the fleur-de-lis design rather than an undecorated vinyl bag, so that you don't look like you're carrying your books or sheet music or whatever in the wrapper your mattress pad came in. It's a nicely designed, well-proportioned fleur-de-lis, too. You'll like it for itself; more so if you love New Orleans, (or Joan of Arc, or France, or Our Lady - maybe even Quebec.) To know in advance: ~ The measurements are as stated, but a zipper at the top diminishes the opening a bit. Me, I like the zipper. I've been known to drop things. ~ This bag smells strongly of vinyl in the beginning. I put paper in it and let it hang in the garage for a week or two to finish off-gassing. Now it is odor-free. ~ The handle is long enough to loop over your shoulder, with the top tucked into your armpit, if you're not frighteningly buff. ~ There's an unnecessary, clumsily stitched pocket at the top. Someone apparently thought it might be a plus to have a place for a pen and some glasses. It's rather unsightly, but I didn't take off a star for it, because you could just cut it off of you want. ~ You could order this bag directly from its vendor, rather than through Amazon. But hey, you're here now.
