Amanda Bynes claims she was 'sexually harassed' before arrest - New York Daily News

Girl-gone-bonkers Amanda Bynes called her drug charges 'all lies' Saturday ' claiming she was victimized by a pervy cop who 'slapped my vagina."

'Don't believe the reports about me being arrested. It's all lies,' Bynes wrote a day after she was hauled into a Manhattan courtroom on charges she chucked a bong out of her window.

'I was sexually harassed by one of the cops the night before last which is who then arrested me. He lied and said I threw a bong out the window when I opened the window for fresh air. Hilarious. He slapped my vagina. Sexual harassment.

Following protocol, the NYPD opened an investigation into Bynes' claims, but a source said a building manager who witnessed the two cops arrest the actress saw no evidence supporting her account.

The kooky Tweet was just the latest example of Bynes' antics.

Before the Kabuki-worthy chaos of blonde wigs, bizarre behavior and handcuffs, Bynes was a bona fide teen idol.

She had successful runs on Nickelodeon's "All That" and "The Amanda Show" during her pre-teen and high school years and seemed impressively immune to the pitfalls of young Hollywood.

Asked about her notable absence from the gossip pages in 2007, the "Hairspray" star credited her retired dentist dad, her office manager mom and her modest upbringing in a quiet Los Angeles suburb.

"I was raised by strict parents. I wasn't allowed to go to the mall alone until I was around 16," Bynes told InterfaithFamily.com.

"I have really smart grounded parents who weren't nouveau riche. They really earned their money, and they know the value of a dollar. They gave morals to me, and I wouldn't want to do anything that would embarrass my parents," she said at the time.

But her fairytale fame wasn't the life she ultimately wanted, and the wholesome and accomplished actress who anchored more than 80 episodes of the hit WB show "What I Like About You" announced her surprise retirement in 2010.

"Being an actress isn't as fun as it may seem," she confessed on Twitter. "I don't love acting anymore, so I've stopped doing it."

After some time off the celebrity radar, Bynes started making unwanted headlines in early 2012.

First the "Easy A" actress was charged with DUI after she allegedly rammed a police car in West Hollywood. Her dad quickly jumped to her defense, saying she was simply overly "emotional," not drunk, at the time of her booking.

"I was told that she blew a zero on the Breathalyzer. She didn't have a single drink that night. My daughter doesn't drink," Rick Bynes told People.com.

"She is a good girl. She just chooses not to work, and because of that, people go after her," he said.

After multiple alleged hit and runs, the impounding of her car due to a suspended license and reports she was dazed and talking to herself at a West Hollywood gym last September, Bynes hightailed it to New York.

The former child star pierced her cheeks in homage to a stripper and started documenting her downward spiral on Twitter.

"I have an eating disorder so I have a hard time staying thin," she tweeted April 4.

"I don't speak to my parents anymore," she posted April 11.

A bizarre self-shot video of Bynes "sucking on a Sour Patch Kid" candy while blinking incessantly in a mirror went viral April 15 and triggered both ridicule and serious concern.

Some photos of her posing topless in her bathroom followed May 1, and then the starlet went nuclear when InTouch magazine published disturbing pictures of a purported party inside her sparsely furnished Manhattan apartment.

The InTouch snaps appeared to show Bynes smoking pot on her bare mattress with "suspicious" baggies littering the floor around her bruised and cut-up feet.

Bynes accused the magazine of altering the pictures to "ruin" her life.

Her distressing descent would reach a new low Thursday when the manager of her building on W. 47th St. called police to report her smoking weed in the lobby, prosecutors said.

Bynes allegedly tossed a glass bong out of her 36th floor apartment when confronted by a cop and made strange faces and yelled at reporters during her court appearance Friday morning.

Her mugshot showed the once fresh-faced actress with a shaved head and a vacant stare.

Bynes, 27, returned to Twitter after her arrest denying she had a bong or used drugs and suggesting she needed "another nose job" after seeing her booking photo.

Attempts to reach Bynes' family were not immediately successful.

A man answering her dad's cell phone Friday said "sorry" and quickly hung up.

Fans were more vocal on social media, urging sympathy and action.

"This Amanda Bynes thing has officially gone from being hilarious to being hearthbreaking," tweeted Shane Dawson.

"I thought @AmandaBynes was ok, obviously she has a problem. Let's all pray for her," TV personality Wendy Williams posted.
